Research Poster Presented at ISC High Performance 2026, Europe's Largest HPC Conference

We are pleased to announce that GFLOPS presented a research poster at ISC High Performance 2026, one of Europe’s largest conferences on high-performance computing (HPC), held in Hamburg, Germany from June 22 to 26, 2026.

Presentation overview

  • Title: Enhancing HPC User Support with Generative AI and RAG: Operational Experience on Fugaku User Support
  • Format: Research poster and lightning talk
  • Conference: ISC High Performance 2026
  • Dates & venue: June 22–26, 2026, Congress Center Hamburg (Hamburg, Germany)

About the presentation

The poster reported practical insights from building and operating a support system that uses generative AI and RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) in user support for the supercomputer Fugaku. For the specialized inquiries characteristic of large-scale computing environments, the system generates answers while searching and referencing knowledge such as manuals and FAQs — and we shared this operational experience of improved answer quality and more efficient support with the international HPC community.

On the day, we had lively discussions with HPC professionals from research institutions and companies around the world, and there was strong interest in applying generative AI to the front lines of HPC operations.

Looking ahead

We will build on the insights and feedback from this presentation to further advance generative-AI-powered HPC user support technology and return its benefits to society.
